What is Yoga for Neurodiversity?

Yoga for Neurodiversity is just yoga. Yoga is inherently neurodiversity-affirming, it’s just not always presented that way. We don't need to reinvent yoga for neurodivergent people; we need help to connect with affirming teachers who can guide us safely along our journey.

Yoga for Neurodiversity is a project Becky started in 2021, shortly after receiving an autism diagnosis at the age of 38 while completing their 200-hour yoga teacher training. Becky was finding it all to be a lot to process, and desired a way to share their experiences as a neurodivergent yoga practitioner with a community of fellow human beings who would understand. This project has been growing and evolving into a community space for neurodivergent yoga practitioners and teachers, and allies invested in our wellbeing, to practice together, learn from one another, and explore the joy of being ourselves through accessible, affirming, peer-led offerings.

Frequently asked questions

Anyone age 14+! You are welcome to join if you identify as neurodivergent, align with neurodivergent experiences, are an ally invested in neurodivergent well-being, and/or are exploring whether you might be neurodivergent yourself. You don’t need any previous experience with yoga to participate.
YES! Whether or not you can pay, I want you here. You can register for offerings by donation, or sign up for a free membership and pay what you can when you can, no questions asked. Donations can be made any time at https://ko-fi.com/yoga_for_neurodiversity.
Please sign up anyway and drop in if you're able! Come when you can, leave when you must. Sessions are designed with neurodivergent folks and those with energy-limiting conditions in mind.  You can always observe or participate in whatever way is most comfortable for you... And sometimes we just don't have the capacity to do the things we want, and that is okay, too. If you paid to save a spot, you'll automatically be refunded as long as you cancel at least 2 hours before the session, or you can send an email to Becky at yogaforneurodiversity.com to request a refund if you miss the cancellation window.
